Sail Away

As students were learning and practicing the letter "Y" and one activity was making their own "Yacht".

Each student was given a kit that they had to construct themselves to and later had a chance to see if they would float and sail. Students practiced blowing air into their sails to propel them across the water. Activities like this work many areas: language arts, arts and crafts, and science - all at once.
