Our students enjoy cooking class once a month. Here we see them making a traditional pineapple upside down cake. The students work on teamwork and cooperation to complete the project. They also exercise their fine motor skills as they prepare and cook the ingredients. Additionally, students learned the various vocabulary associated with ingredients and cooking actions, weighed and measured ingredients, and mixed them together to create a wonderful project that they could have as their snack.
They also see a blend on cultures. Pineapple upside-down cake being a very traditional dessert in the UK and USA combined with the tasty fresh pineapples of Thailand!
