Life Cycle of a Frog

Exploring and observing life cycles is important for children to help them respect and care for the living things around them.

Inquiring into life cycles using observations and illustrations, within a context that children understand and identify with is best achieved by discussing the life cycles of plants, insects and amphibians. This allows children to understand that with growth there is change.

Atlas: “they are greedy, eating all of the leaves.”

Mirei: “They got the tails when they came out of the eggs.”

Masato: “Look they swim so fast, up

And down!”
