"I" is for "Igloo"

Students are engaged daily in arts and crafts. The K1 class was exploring different ways of modelling and molding clay, making an igloo for the letter 'I' that they were learning.

Students started from scratch with a ball of clay. They learned to mold and craft it into the shapes required for an igloo. They take it every step of the way, culminating in the covering of 'white snow' (baking soda and glue) for the completed igloo. Each student was given freedom to be creative and introduce their own ideas of what an igloo would look like. As a result, we have some unique structures. Just waiting for penguins, polar bears, and Inuit to arrive and complete our scene!
