Three Smiles

"If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else." – Booker T. Washington

There's a section in our playground gardens that is nicknamed "Turtle Hills." The hills are next to the pen where our pet turtles live. Students love climbing up and down the hills. For the little ones, like our two and three year olds in the Pre-K class, it can be quite the challenge. But "teamwork makes the dream work" - Here we see our student Mojo lead the way. He forms a human chain with Sakuya and Uta and the combined effort and cooperation leads them all successfully up the hill. They smiled when they struggled to get up. They smiled when they decided to hold hands. They smiled when they felt the feeling of accomplishment as they reached the top of the hill. Together. What's better than a smile? Three smiles.
