Creation of Shadow and Light

The beautiful, initial exploratory results of working with light and shadow. Learning phrases such as, transparent and opaque lend new meaning to the child’s world.

He realizes: “I am opaque and the light cannot pass through me! I do not make a pattern.” “It is like flowers on a sunny day!” Exclaims his little co worker who is placing objects and materials of different qualities on the overhead projector.

It is in this natural dance that children find meaning on their world though deeper understanding.
